Angel Monique is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She relocated to Atlanta, Georgia after her home was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. She was born with a voice God blessed to be melodious as well as a voice for radio. Though she's been writing and singing for many years, her move to Atlanta proved to be the place where her music career truly blossomed. She recorded an EP and met the owner of a very popular soul/neo-soul internet station, where she became his protege. Her responsibilities at the station included: executive staff, marketing, staff writer, co-host of the stations morning show where she had her own segment in the show that was called, "Ask Angel". In this segment she offered advice to listeners that wrote in seeking advice on a myriad of topics. She also interviewed many artists, major as well as independents and unknowns. She developed great relationships with a lot of the artists that she interviewed. She also learned a great deal about the technical side of radio, thanks to her then mentor. Angel is always studying and seeking knowlege on great music and the artists that create it. Soul Confessions After Dark Radio has always been a dream of hers. Back in October she parted ways with the station very amicably and she began to make that dream a reality. Soul Confessions After Dark Radio premiered in January of 2008. When asked what her ultimate purpose is in creating Soul Confessions After Dark Radio, Angel answered: "My goal is to introduce the world to some excellent music and talent that may not be heard otherwise listening to mainstream radio. I want people to fall in love with music; not just the music itself, but the message in the music. I'd love for anyone to come to great realizations and be inspired by the show. Music truly changes lives and it saves lives as well." She adds with a coy smile, "Now, if a few babies are made along the way with my show as the soundtrack, that would be proverbial 'icing on the cake'.
